Wave 3 gives World of Tanks: The Card Game a faster way to fight
The expansion adds 182 cards, removes standard base cards from boosters, and changes the odds for higher-rarity pulls.

Wargaming has put Wave 3 of World of Tanks: The Card Game in the spotlight, and this batch is built around tighter combat timing and a different kind of booster pull.
The new expansion brings 182 unique cards, with artwork that leans into ruined cities, broken structures, and tank warfare across battered battlefields. The headline rules addition is Initiative, a mechanic that rewards a vehicle when it attacks before its opponent.
Wargaming also said the old standard base cards are being phased out. Booster packs will now contain six Commons, three Uncommons, and one Rare-or-higher card, which should make it easier to pull more copies of the vehicles players actually want. Legendary cards are meant to be easier to find as well, and card collation has been improved.
The publisher also shared a video alongside the announcement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G4FNdDY3gg
Wave 3 feels built to make each pack matter a little more, while giving aggressive play a cleaner path forward. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
