Warzone Season 5 Reloaded Sees CR-56 Amax Reclaim Fastest TTK

CR-56 Amax returns as the fastest-killing rifle after Season 5 Reloaded, highlighted in a September 6 video.

After the Season 5 Reloaded update, Call of Duty: Warzone, published by Activision, saw the CR-56 Amax return to the fastest Time to Kill among rifles, a change highlighted in a September 6 video and noted by community analysts.

Players often test small changes after any Warzone update, looking for altered recoil or handling that affects loadouts; that ritual matters because a subtle shift can change what weapons win fights. The Season 5 Reloaded patch removed the ABR A1 from many players’ rotations and left the Kilo 141 as the most-used option, but the Amax now boasts the highest raw kill speed.

WhosImmortal’s setup uses five attachments on the Amax and five on the Kompakt 92, a pared-back approach that prioritizes raw kill speed over handling quirks or maximum recoil control. The Amax build he runs lists Otero Red Dot, Compensator, Reinforced barrel, Vertical Foregrip, and Extended Mag II as its five attachments, and the Kompakt is fitted with compensator, long barrel, ranger foregrip, Extended Mag II, and recoil springs.

That combination is focused and straightforward. “The Amax absolutely melts if you can control it,” he said, stressing the weapon’s high-risk, high-reward feel. For many players the Kilo remains the easiest choice, but the Amax now offers the quickest kills when accuracy is maintained.

The discussion around ideal loadouts picked up after a detailed look at Season 5 Reloaded changes, and players familiar with the meta began testing alternatives and pairing the Amax with close-range options and snipers for longer fights.

WhosImmortal’s video demonstrates the point in practical play and timed engagements, and CODMunity provides complementary analysis that tracks TTK across ranges and setups.

Attachments for the Amax as shown by WhosImmortal:

  • Optic: Otero Red Dot
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Reinforced barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II

Attachments for the Kompakt 92 as shown:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II
  • Fire Mod: Recoil Springs

Sources cited in the piece include detailed coverage of the Season 5 Reloaded changes and a loadout guide that tracks which rifles remain most popular despite raw TTK differences.

Related reporting and pages referenced: the Warzone tag and the Call of Duty hub provide broader context for patch timing and community reactions, while the Season 5 Reloaded breakdown lists the buffs and nerfs players tested after the update.

For players tracking meta shifts, the CR-56 Amax’s return to top TTK changes some pairing decisions and may influence which rifle is carried into matches when raw kill speed matters more than handling forgiveness.
