Cheating has been a thorn in the side of Warzone and Black Ops 6 players for a long time, but the developers are stepping up their game with a fresh KillCam feature. This update gives you more clues about how you died, making it easier to tell if the enemy was playing fair or using cheats.
Since the Season 3 Reloaded update in Warzone, the KillCam now shows extra info in the Death Widget. Besides the usual details like how many enemies shot you and the damage dealt, you’ll see if your position was revealed by perks or equipment. You can check if the enemy tracked you using tools like a Heartbeat Sensor or a Most Wanted Contract.
KillCam is real SPY now
- Heartbeat Sensor
- Teammate used as a Body Shield
- Resurgence Mark
- Prox Alarm
- Most Wanted Contract
Seeing these indicators helps you determine whether the enemy’s knowledge of your location was legit. If none of these show up but the player still knew exactly where you were, it might be a sign of wallhacks or other cheats.
This feature is already live in Warzone and will be added to Black Ops 6 Multiplayer during the season.
Activision’s anti-cheat system, RICOCHET, has been busy shutting down cheat sellers—over 150, including 20 during Black Ops 6’s run and five just since Season 3 started. They’re also cracking down on players who try to cheat by making new accounts after bans. Since Season 2, new cheating profiles get banned within an average of four matches.
Account security has improved, too. Players must verify their PC account before linking it to a new Activision ID, protecting around 10,000 accounts from being stolen.
While cheating won’t disappear overnight, these updates are moving things forward. It’s a welcome change, especially with Ranked Play coming back in Warzone.
