Rotten Armor event adds tougher enemies and fresh rewards from July 24 to August 11.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is introducing a fresh event called Rotten Armor, which will bring some nasty twists to your missions. The Blight has mutated, affecting the armor worn by enemies and turning them into more resilient foes. This event will run from July 24 until August 11, offering new challenges and rewards for players who take on the infested threats.

Enemies like Crushers, Maulers, and Scab Ragers will appear with infested armor during the event. While this armor slows them down, it also makes them much tougher to defeat. Plus, their blood isn’t just blood anymore. Beware of the vile secretions they leave behind, which could cause additional trouble during your missions.

Players can progress in the event by completing missions that feature the Rotten Armor condition. This includes missions where Rotten Armor appears alongside other modifiers, such as Hunting Grounds or Pox Gas. It’s like a layered challenge that will test your team’s adaptability and focus.

Rewards for advancing through the event include helpful resources such as Ordo Dockets, Plasteel, and Diamantine, along with a brand-new portrait frame available at the final tier. If you’re wondering how to keep things interesting while grinding, this event might be what you need!

Here’s an image showing some of the infested enemies you’ll face:

And here’s a look at the new portrait frame reward for those who reach the last tier:

One more visual to get you into the mood:

Will the tougher, slower enemies change how you approach missions? Are you ready to face the Blight’s new horrors? I think this event could really disrupt the usual combat flow, and it might be a good idea to try different team setups.

Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences with the Rotten Armor event in the comments below.
