War Thunder’s new screenshot contest wants two vehicles in frame

Players have until June 26 to post a raw in-game shot on Steam with #WTscreen229, and six winners will split into community and judge picks for 300 GE each.

War Thunder opened its 229th Steam Screenshot Competition on June 20, 2026, and this round puts teamwork in the frame. Players need to capture at least two allied vehicles, so the shot has to look like a proper squad moment rather than a lone machine sitting in the middle of the map.

To enter, players must upload a fresh screenshot to the War Thunder Steam Community Hub with #WTscreen229 in the title and nothing else. The image has to be their own work, taken from the game itself, and it cannot have appeared in another contest. War Thunder still allows built-in filters, in-game settings, and the replay system, but outside editing software and image enhancers are not allowed. Six winners will be chosen after June 26, with three decided by community votes and three selected by the judges, and each winner will receive 300 GE.

The rules also keep a lid on repeat wins. A player can only take the popular-vote prize once every four screenshot competitions, which keeps the spotlight moving around the community. War Thunder also posted the results of the 228th round, and the early-rank theme from that contest was covered in a separate roundup.
