War Thunder wants your best firing-line screenshot by July 24

The 233rd Steam Screenshot Competition will award six winners 300 Golden Eagles each for raw in-game images featuring a vehicle firing its weapon.

War Thunder players have until July 24, 2026 to submit a screenshot for the game’s 233rd Steam Screenshot Competition. This edition focuses on vehicles in the middle of a firefight, so every entry must show a vehicle firing its armament.

Gaijin Entertainment announced the contest in its Steam announcement. Any vehicle and camera angle are allowed, provided the image captures the weapon firing.

How to enter

Upload a new screenshot to the War Thunder Steam Community Hub with #WTscreen233 as the title. The title cannot contain any other text.

Six winners will be chosen after the deadline. Three will come from the highest community ratings, while three more will be picked by the contest judges. Each winner will receive 300 Golden Eagles.

Contest rules

  • The screenshot must show a vehicle firing its armament.
  • Participants must use the #WTscreen233 tag by itself in the title.
  • Artists can win through popular voting only once every four screenshot competitions.
  • The entrant must be the original creator of the screenshot.
  • Entries must be new and cannot have appeared in an earlier competition or publication.
  • Only raw screenshots captured from the game are accepted.
  • Outside editing software and visual enhancements such as Nvidia Ansel filters are not allowed.
  • War Thunder’s built-in filters, settings, and replay tools are permitted.
  • Rewards will be delivered to each winner’s account within 14 working days.

Winners from the previous competition

The announcement also revealed the six winners from the 232nd competition, Painted to Perform. The community-voted entries were the first submission, the second submission, and the third submission.

The judges selected one entry, another entry, and a third entry. Each of those winners will receive 300 Golden Eagles.
