War Thunder just released update 2.47.0.89, patching some annoying bugs and tweaking a few things you might not have noticed but that affect gameplay. It’s a small but solid update that cleans up a few rough edges for aircraft and ground vehicles, plus a quirky little visual fix on the dakimakura pillows. Yeah, you read that right.
Let’s start with the SU-25SM3. Players noticed the TV sight’s azimuth scale was showing wrong values, which could throw off your aim. That’s been fixed, so your targeting should feel more on point now. It’s one of those tiny things that can make a big difference when you’re locked in combat.
Now, for the ground vehicles, some improvements hit the hit analysis system. The game’s logic for saving turret positions at the moment of each hit was kinda off before, causing desyncs. This patch straightens that out, so damage tracking feels more accurate.
There were also some bugs with Multi-Vehicle SAMs. At times, you could place drone reconnaissance marks when you weren’t supposed to, and control wouldn’t switch properly to the radar vehicle after drowning in a launcher vehicle during test drives. Both issues got squashed. Imagine trying to juggle those controls and suddenly things just don’t respond—that’s frustrating!
Then there’s the Object 279. A weird glitch made its tracks sink into the ground when moving at extreme angles. Yikes. That’s fixed now, so it won’t look like your tank is half buried anymore.
Also, the SPYDER launcher had a visual bug where one of its missile containers wasn’t showing up in the hangar. That’s been corrected, so your vehicle looks complete and ready for action.
And for something unexpected, the textures on the dakimakura pillows got updated to look more authentic. Because who doesn’t want their virtual pillows to be more hug-worthy, right?
