Valve opens CS2’s Animgraph 2 beta with a bandwidth tweak
Players can opt into the animgraph_2_beta build through Steam, and Valve warned that connecting to a different build may trigger a fatal error message.

Valve has released a new Counter-Strike 2 beta build called animgraph_2_beta, and the first change in the branch is aimed at network usage. Players who want to try it can opt in through the Steam beta instructions at Steam Support, while bug reports and feedback go to with the subject line AG2 Beta.
The update is small, but it lands in the middle of Valve’s steady work on CS2 beta builds, including the recent pre-release build in the beta depot. This latest branch may be more about testing than broad gameplay changes, but Valve did call out one network adjustment and one important warning for anyone hopping between builds.

- Reduced network bandwidth utilization
Valve also noted that the client may produce a fatal error message when attempting to connect to a server running a different build, so anyone testing the beta should stick to matching versions.
