VALORANT’s Neo Frontier 2.0 will bring a lasso melee on July 30

Riot Games has not confirmed the bundle's price, but the collection will include Vandal and Shorty skins with old-Western and sci-fi appearances.

Neo Frontier 2.0 will arrive in VALORANT on July 30, bringing a Vandal, a Shorty, and a lasso melee to Riot Games’ tactical shooter. The collection keeps the Western style of the original Neo Frontier set while adding futuristic variations and new weapon animations.

The bundle will be available for a limited time in the store. Once it leaves, its items may return through the daily rotation, but the collection will not be eligible for the Night Market because it is an Exclusive-tier bundle.

Neo Frontier 2.0 skins and bundle contents

The initial Neo Frontier 2.0 lineup includes:

  • Vandal
  • Shorty
  • Lasso melee

Riot is also offering a larger bundle with the Neo Frontier Sheriff, Marshal, Phantom, Vandal, Shorty, and Lasso Melee. Buying the complete set will cost less than purchasing every item separately, although the final price has not been announced.

Each weapon can use either an old-Western style or a sci-fi style. The sci-fi versions also have color variants. The older appearances do not include visual effects, but they retain their own audio effects.

The Shorty has a flip-style pullout and reload sequence, while the Vandal adds a magazine-spin reload and a new inspect animation. These touches give both guns their own personality rather than simply placing a new coat of paint over the original weapons.

The lasso melee has its own music

The Lasso Melee is the collection’s standout addition. During its inspect animation, players can spin the lasso, and its attack animations use whipping motions. The inspect sequence also includes a custom music track, with separate tunes for the old and sci-fi versions, as shown in a VALORANT Leaks post about the animation.

Neo Frontier 2.0 will also include a reveal trailer:

How much will Neo Frontier 2.0 cost?

Riot Games has not shared the official price for Neo Frontier 2.0. The original Neo Frontier collection cost 2,175 VP per gun skin and 4,350 VP for the melee. Weapon prices often remain similar when a collection receives a second release, but the Lasso Melee could have a different price.

That makes the bundle’s value difficult to judge until Riot confirms the full VP cost. The two visual styles for each weapon, the new animations, and the custom music may appeal to players who enjoy the original set, but the final decision will depend heavily on the price of the complete collection.

Neo Frontier 2.0 will be available in VALORANT on July 30. Tell us what you think of the lasso melee in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
