Riot Games has released a brand new patch for its first-person shooter, Valorant. Valorant players will no longer be harassed by Viper, as it was (according to Riot Games) a tiny bit overtuned compared to other agents. Apparently, Viper’s abilities have had the potential of dropping players really fast, thanks to their insanely high damage, such as the 50 decay in hp which has now been lowered to 30.
This should allow players to take over a bomb site a lot easier, as I personally consider Viper as one of the strongest defensive agents, which could be quite annoying for the opposite team.
Furthermore, the update is bringing the long-awaited Replication game mode, which is quite an invention from Riot Games. Apparently, players will be able to quintuple their ultimate abilities and hunt for opponents in a new fashion way. According to Kyle Powell, a developer at Riot Games:
With Replication, we are looking to create exciting and novel moments by widening the player theory-crafting space while highlighting Agent abilities. Quintupling down on Agents that were balanced around normal Agent restrictions, we’ve created lots of hilarious near-game-breaking plays for players to discover.
