Riot Games has finally outlined how VALORANT‘s long-requested replay system will function, when it will be available, and which modes it will cover. Players will receive in-client replays on PC starting September 16, with China and consoles following with staged rollouts, allowing you to review matches from multiple angles without leaving the client.

Replays will be coming to PC on September 16 at 9:00 AM PT (5 PM BST). China will see the feature on October 9 in Patch 11.07b, while consoles will get replays in Patch 11.10 on November 11 at 9:00 AM PT.

What Can the Replay System Do?

Replays let you watch a complete view of a recent match from all ten players’ perspectives. View options include first- and third-person cameras, and you can toggle off enemy and ally outlines or hide projectile traces such as Sova’s Recon Dart. Playback controls cover pause, fast-forward, and slow-motion (from 0.1x up to 8x), plus a time-jump that sends you to any moment in the match. Combat reports are accessible while watching, and matches can be downloaded from the match details or your Career page.

Riot has said the system will not affect in-game performance. Supported playlists at launch are Unrated, Competitive, Swiftplay and Premier. Replays will only record games played on the current live patch.

Replay Arriving in Patch 11.06

Patch 11.06 will ship with the replay system and a batch of fixes and tweaks. Riot’s patch announcement noted a variety of bug fixes, general updates and performance adjustments alongside the new feature. The replay system will arrive in VALORANT in Patch 11.06, which brings a wave of bug fixes, general updates, and performance adjustments.
