Valorant has just received its 11.04 update, setting the stage for Act 5 with some pretty interesting changes to two fan-favorite agents: Chamber and Sage. If you’ve been keeping an eye on the meta, these tweaks might shake things up a bit.
Summer 2025 also marks Valorant’s fifth anniversary, and Riot Games isn’t holding back. They’ve been pushing out a ton of agent updates and fresh cosmetics all season, but the real headline was the switch to Unreal Engine 5 back in patch 11.02, which improved framerates and download speeds. Patch 11.04 arrives right before Act 5, and it focuses on making Chamber and Sage more versatile and impactful.
Chamber’s Trademark ability has lost its range restriction. Yep, so you can place your traps anywhere without worrying about distance limits. Riot felt the old restriction was outdated for how Valorant is played today. Interestingly, this change accidentally went live in patch 11.02, but Riot decided to keep it since it was planned for 11.04 anyway.
On the other side, Sage is getting a buff that leans into her role as a Controller-leaning Sentinel. Her Barrier Orb wall casting range is increased from 10 meters to 15 meters, letting her block off space from a safer distance. Even more notable, her Resurrection range has doubled from 6 meters to 12 meters, giving her more room to bring teammates back into the fight.
Besides agent changes, the esports store now allows gifting items to friends, which is kinda cool if you want to share some Valorant swag. Also, the map Abyss is back in competitive and deathmatch modes, replacing Icebox, which means players will have to adjust their strategies accordingly.
