The winds of change are blowing through Valheim as the developers have rolled out Patch 0.220.2 for the Public Test branch. If you’re feeling adventurous and want a sneak peek into what’s brewing, this could be your moment to hop aboard this testing vessel. Just remember, it might get a little rocky!
This latest update is packed with adjustments meant to iron out some creases before they reach the Default version of the game. It’s akin to running a food truck before launching a full restaurant; you want to perfect those recipes first! Players can jump in and give their feedback while keeping an eye out for bugs that need squashing.

- Changed back an assembly name to match the live version (reducing the reasons for mods breaking when the patch goes live)
- Fixed an exception that could occur if a keybind was will “None”
- Fire SFX once more has the same priority as other sounds
- The Staff of Protection is once again protecting other players in multiplayer.

Prior to launching this update to the Default version of the game, we want to have a chance to discover bugs and fine-tune balancing to make sure the best game experience.
• ACCESS:: Right-click Valheim in your Steam library, then select ‘Properties’. In the new window, select ‘Betas’ and type in the code “yesimadebackups“. The Public Test branch should now be available for you.
