World of Warcraft’s Midnight expansion assigns Valeera Sanguinar as the new Delve companion and adds Nullaeus as the nemesis for Midnight Season 1. Valeera brings Rogue-themed options for every role, the Delver’s Headquarters has moved to Silvermoon, and the Delver’s Journey returns with cosmetics and progression rewards.
Valeera Sanguinar as the Delve companion
Valeera functions as the Delve companion in Midnight and can fill any specialization role. Her kit includes Rogue-inspired abilities mapped to role archetypes. The DPS option features Cheap Shot. The healer variant uses Vampiric Reaping. The tank role is built around Your First Mistake. Players can pair these abilities with Curios and other Delve systems to tune Valeera for a preferred role. Guides covering Valeera’s full ability list and recommended Curio combinations are available under the Delves and companion guides.
Delver’s Headquarters, rewards, and the Season 1 nemesis
The Delver’s Headquarters has relocated to Silvermoon for Midnight. The new location is the vendor and hub for Delve supplies and companion services. The Delver’s Journey returns with a dedicated Journey tab that grants progression rewards to improve Delve runs. Rewards include housing decor pieces and mounts in addition to progression benefits and item level rewards tied to Midnight Season 1 Delves.
Nullaeus is the Delve nemesis assigned to Midnight Season 1. Like other Nemesis encounters, Nullaeus was not available for player testing during the Midnight development cycle. Players preparing for Nullaeus can review previews of his abilities and recommended Curio combinations for Valeera, but the fight itself was withheld from test builds.
Some related Midnight content was adjusted in pre-patch and tuning phases. Notably, four dungeons were closed in the 12.0.0 pre-patch while Blizzard applied adjustments. Details on those closures are documented in the internal note about four Midnight Season 1 dungeons being closed in the 12.0.0 pre-patch (four Midnight Season 1 dungeons).
