Hello, fellow gamers! The world of V Rising is about to change with the release of Update 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil, scheduled for April 28. This update promises interesting new content but also requires significant changes regarding your saved games and servers, which we’ll detail below.
Update 1.0 Saves and Invaders of Oakveil Content
The developers have communicated that each significant update in V Rising renders earlier saves incompatible due to extensive changes to systems, features, and the game map. As such, players will need a new save to experience everything that Invaders of Oakveil has to offer fully.
If you’re like many players who become attached to their castles and collectibles over time, don’t worry! A backlog of older versions will still be available so you can revisit your previous saves whenever you wish. It’s a great way to relive those fond memories—whether it’s sitting on your throne or checking in with your vampire servants.
A helpful reminder for those looking for older versions.
This time, things are a bit different as players will be able to access both 1.0 and 1.1 saves within the same client. Remember that while this allows flexibility between versions, it does not mean older saves can access any new content from version 1.1—you’ll still need a fresh start!
If you’re currently running a dedicated server on version 1.0, remember it won’t appear in the server list after April 28; connections will require direct IP entry or joining via friends’ lists.
You might notice an increase in file size for V Rising. This adjustment accounts for having two versions in play now—a small inconvenience considering what’s coming.
Official Server Resets and New Settings
The official servers typically reset every two weeks before an update, but this time, they’ll extend until maintenance on April 26—offering more playtime before the big transition. For servers with over eleven days left until their reset timer runs out, they’ll remain open as version 1.0 until their originally planned end dates and won’t change over to version 1.1 at launch.
- PvE Cooperative | 3 Month Reset, Squads
- PvE Cooperative | 3 Month Reset | Brutal, Squads

- PvP Merciless | Daily Raid | 1 Month Reset, Squads
The settings across Official Servers will also see adjustments based on player feedback since launch:
Castle Hearts Per Clan
A long-requested feature is rolling out—each clan will face limits on castle territories rather than each vampire individually claiming plots too quickly during initial restarts.
For Official PvP Servers:, clans may control only one castle per clan; whereas on PvE servers:, clans are limited to two castles apiece.
This setting is experimental at present but shows promise based on prior player observations.
Changes to Old Settings
- Mortium Rift Events frequency increases from one hour down to thirty minutes.
- The Golem health boost goes from1750 up to2500 specifically on Squad PvP servers.
