V Rising 1.1 Hot Fix 9: Bug Busting and Gameplay Tweaks from Stunlock Studios

Stunlock Studios releases a patch fixing various bugs and gameplay issues in V Rising.

V Rising fans, the latest hotfix from Stunlock Studios just hit, eager to fix a handful of pesky bugs and polish gameplay quirks that have been nagging players. If you’ve been wrestling with disappearing units or weird animation glitches, this update might smooth out some of those rough edges.

Hot Fix 9 brings a mix of quality-of-life improvements and fixes that impact everything from combat visuals to item behavior. The devs are even throwing in some humor with their notes—because who doesn’t want dark rituals mentioned without any further explanation? Yikes.

Patch Notes

  • Added a confirmation prompt when choosing the “Kill Prisoner” option in prison cells to prevent accidental executions.
  • Fixed an issue where units spawned through objects like Spider Cave cocoons could vanish after being imprisoned.
  • Corrected the Unholy visual effects on the enemy “Skewering Leap” ability, making it look right again.
  • Resolved a bug where irradiant gruel queued in prison cells remained even after a unit mutated, causing unintended feeding of subsequent prisoners.
  • Fixed some areas that failed to animate or stay interactable when the pause menu was open.
  • Addressed a rare case where Dracula could get stuck transitioning from phase 1 to 2 after specific server restarts. It might still happen, but only briefly now.
  • Destroying floors under disabled items no longer leaves them floating midair. Gravity wins.
  • Prevented weapons from receiving two coatings simultaneously, which was previously possible under rare conditions.
  • Horses now react with fear to chaos and illusion damage from weapon coatings, previously ignored.
  • Players can’t teleport while affected by the Golem buff anymore.
  • Added sorting support for blood potions and tweaked bag sorting for various item types.
  • Fixed a bug where the Expose Vein animation caused vampires to intersect oddly.
  • Dead Vampire Steeds no longer block dismantling of elevated floors.
  • Improved camera collision issues.
  • Added protections to stop calculation errors that caused crashes related to daggers and horses.
  • Fixed Night Maiden animation glitches.
  • Closed visible gaps in doorways with wallpapers.
  • Added collision to prevent vampires from falling into holes and getting stuck, which was pretty embarrassing.
  • Fixed the wash basin not fading properly when blocking the camera.
  • Changed how the game remembers Emotes and Shapeshift positions to stop resets between sessions.
  • Fixed dagger stack bugs where players got stacks without equipping a dagger, which would stay forever.
  • Corrected small sun rays sneaking into the vineyard boss arena.
  • Fixed Arena Health Orbs remaining indestructible after castle destruction.
  • Removed the restriction that arena and duel areas are only visible in the same territory; also fixed arenas becoming invisible when too many were active nearby.
  • Fixed some typos, because details matter.
  • Dark Silver Longbow naming now matches other Dark Silver weapons.

What do you think about these fixes? Any bugs still driving you crazy? Drop your thoughts in the comments below, I’m curious to hear your experience with this update.
