Unrailed 2: Back on Track received a new Steam update listed as v-746-dec1284. The patch focuses on stability and memory fixes, and it also introduces a blocklist system and several bot improvements.
The update adds a controller assign dialog for unintended disconnects, a blocklist that works from kicks, replays, and custom map creators, and a stack of crash and rendering fixes. The bot received targeted fixes so it handles bosses and animals better and avoids getting stuck in certain situations. Balance and UI tweaks are included as well.
This follows a string of recent fixes for the game, including a hotfix that restored Mac cross-play and addressed other crash issues earlier in December. That post covered the short hotfix and several quality of life changes.
The blocklist functions similarly to the system from the previous Unrailed. After kicking a player you can choose to block them. You can also block players from replays or from custom map creators. The list is configurable in the online settings. Blocked players cannot join your lobby and you cannot open replays or maps from blocked players. The developer can also apply global blocks in rare cases. If your account is globally blocked, you will no longer be able to make your lobby public.
Other notable changes in this patch include multiple memory leak fixes, crash fixes when starting or joining games, fixes for OpenGL and Angle rendering issues, and adjustments to action perk timers. The patch also limits Respawn Balloon Cartridges to a maximum of 10 and disallows viewing replays from the game end screen.
