Ubisoft will tackle Watch Dogs: Legion Gameplay Performance Issues with new patches

Multiple AAA games are usually a subject of day one patches, where the developers introduce game fixes for a smoother and much more potent release. Unlike the consoles, the PC platform presents a denser ground for such deployments and turn of events. The games are usually not working as intended or have some minor performance issues. The same occurred with the latest Watch Dogs series, Legion, with a slightly distorted PC performance, for which Ubisoft has to intervene as soon as possible.

Reddit is usually the mainstream channel to contact the developers and be listened to in a timely fashion, and that’s what exactly happened in this case. In a Reddit Thread, a player has already shown his frustration due to the game’s issues, such as frame stuttering and weird, unexpected crashes. All of those occur on the new RTX 30 series, and according to him, the new RTX 3080 GPU is unable to hit 60 Frames even at 1440p.

Update:

Shortly after the complaint, a new Nvidia driver released, which brought happiness not to everyone but only to Watch Dogs Legion players. CoD: Warzone players were instructed to avoid this update because the patch notes clearly stated possible FPS drops.

Ubisoft acknowledged and already responded to the negative feedback, claiming that multiple patches are scheduled to release during a short period of time.

We wanted to notify you that the dev team is aware of some technical issues in the current version of the game (crashes, lower frame rates) and will be deploying a patch on October 30th. Additionally, another patch will be live on November 9th as well.
