If you remember firmly, in World of Warcraft Vanilla, there was an addon that allowed the users to manage all of their trinkets easier. That addon was TrinketMenu, an addon created by Gello3 and Resile, which has been published on CurseForge but never updated since December 26, 2017. Knowing that there are lots of trinkets in WoW Classic attained by different professions, especially engineering ones, this addon is somewhat a must for all of the players inspired by the PVP perspective.
What this addon does is adding two icons to your already existing bars which are replicating the currently wearing trinkets by the user. By hovering over them it shows all your other trinkets currently in the bag, allowing the player to swap between them at any given time. It also shares cooldowns so you won’t have to worry about which trinket is currently available to you.
Without an update, this update is still working in the current WoW Classic version of the game, however, sometimes it breaks and shows LUA errors. It could also disappear for good for which it needs a “/trinket reset” command to get back to its original state.
Users using ElvUI have been getting a lot of those errors and TrinketMenu addon breaks, which makes it somewhat tedious to deal with. However, a new version has started circling on Discord.
According to the modifications, this version removes the PET related functions, which were mainly causing the LUA errors and making the addon to break. Everything else is working correctly, requiring no alterations.
According to the editor itself:
I’ve taken my time to tinker and remove the piece of code that was causing LUA errors. This nice addon that was first created to have a better overview and swap trinkets easier should now be error-free, should not disappear anymore, and it should be working as intended for both Classic and ElvUI users. To install it, make sure you extract the “TrinketMenu” folder inside your WoW Classic Interface/addons. (That would be the root folder of all the contents. Don’t put two TrinketMenu folders inside each other) . Caution: If you cannot see the Trinket Menu due to wrong offset or else, make sure you perform /trinket reset
. If this doesn’t work for you, make sure you move the TrinketMenu UI and then perform /trinket reset again. Afterward, you can move and configure the TrinketMenu from the minimap button by yourself. All credits still go to Gello3 and Resile as they are the original masterminds behind this addon.
The modified addon can be downloaded from here. To visit the official download page and see all of its features, you can click here.
Still dosen’t swap out trinket automatic I’m afraid.
