Throne and Liberty just rolled out Update 2.12.0, adding quite a bit to the game including a fresh 4-Star Co-Op Dungeon, a new equipment slot for earrings, and a big interserver siege event. The update downtime was scheduled for May 28 and lasted roughly five hours. If you’ve been curious about new raid strategies or gear progression, this patch might catch your interest.
First up, the Crypt of Augmentation dungeon challenges you to face Velentra, a necromancer transformed by dark magic. She used to be a professor of light magic but now commands ancient powers in service to a dark mistress. You’ll need a Combat Power of 5000 to enter, and conquering this dungeon grants Tier 2 equipment drops that help speed up your gear upgrades. It’s a neat way to prepare for tougher challenges ahead, especially the upcoming raid against Calanthia.
Something new to try: the earring equipment slot. This slot unlocks automatically after the update, and earrings can be found through various activities like Tier 2 tokens, Nebula Island, dungeons, and arch boss fights. It’s a fresh way to customize your character’s stats and might add a new layer to your build choices.
The combat system now recognizes positional attacks—meaning it matters if you strike from the front, flank, or rear. Several skills have been updated to deal extra damage or trigger effects based on your position relative to the target. Have you checked your skill list yet? Some abilities might suddenly feel a bit more useful if you approach fights differently.
The Interserver Siege event is a major addition. Alliances owning castles can battle opponents from other servers every three weeks. Both sides get chances to attack and defend, with rewards coming from pooled tax revenues. Winners earn temporary titles, cloaks, and buffs that boost their entire server’s combat and Abyss Point gains for 48 hours. The first siege event is set for June 15, based on June 1’s regular siege results. Yikes, that sounds intense!
Events also got some attention. The Mystic Globe Sollant Event replaces Mystic Globes and Portals with Lucky Bags in Solisium until June 11, offering extra rewards. The Fortune’s Calling Event runs the same period, encouraging players to complete activities like dungeons and field bosses for chances at helpful rewards, including the Golden Archboss Weapon Selection Chest.
For those who enjoy community creativity, the Color Craft: Amitoi Edition contest results are in. The winning colored Growling Wolfie Amitoi will be added to the game as a future reward. It’s always nice to see player art become part of the world.
