THQ Nordic’s 2026 digital showcase took place on August 7 with updates on several upcoming games, a new chapter for REANIMAL, and a sale covering much of the publisher’s catalog. The event also confirmed that Way of the Hunter 2 preorders are open ahead of its September 29 release. An Xbox Wire recap covered the announcements and trailers shown during the presentation.
The THQ Nordic Showcase Sale is running from August 4 through August 10, with discounts reaching 90% on select games. Several of the publisher’s older releases received especially large price cuts, giving Xbox players a chance to catch up before the next wave of releases arrives.
REANIMAL: The Prisoner begins the DLC campaign
REANIMAL: The Prisoner is available for $9.99 as the first chapter in the game’s DLC campaign. The story introduces two characters, The Soldier and The Prisoner, as they make their way through the remains of a place they once knew.
The expansion adds areas that were not previously seen in the REANIMAL world and sends the pair through dangerous locations both on foot and by other means. THQ Nordic is also offering 25% off the REANIMAL Digital Deluxe Edition, along with the Foxhead and Muttonhead Masks.
Way of the Hunter 2 targets September 29
Preorders for Way of the Hunter 2 are now open. Anyone who owns the original Way of the Hunter can receive a 10% discount when preordering the sequel.
Way of the Hunter 2 will arrive on September 29 with more detailed animal behavior, nature systems, and hunting options. Players will also be able to manage their hunting grounds in new ways. Until then, the Way of the Hunter – Ultimate Edition is 70% off during the showcase sale.
Wreckfest 2 and Titan Quest II get new gameplay looks
Wreckfest 2 was featured with new gameplay footage focused on its destructive racing. The sequel is built around full-contact events, vehicle damage, and physics-driven crashes, continuing the approach established by the original Wreckfest and the FlatOut series. THQ Nordic did not provide a release date in the showcase recap.

Titan Quest II also received a gameplay reveal alongside its Early Access presentation. The action RPG draws from Greek mythology and follows a conflict with Nemesis, Goddess of Retribution, who is corrupting the Threads of Fate. Players will fight alongside gods while trying to alter the course of fate itself.
The original Titan Quest is 85% off in the sale. Titan Quest: Atlantis and Titan Quest: Ragnarök are each 75% off.
Gothic II and The Eternal Life of Goldman round out the lineup
Gothic II Complete Classic received a new gameplay look. The package combines Gothic II with the Night of the Raven add-on and follows the Nameless Hero after the magical barrier around the Mine Valley falls. The resulting chaos reaches the forests, mountains, and capital of Khorinis, where the town militia struggles to deal with attacks from bandits.
THQ Nordic is also offering 20% off Gothic Remake during the sale.
The Eternal Life of Goldman appeared with a new look at its hand-painted 2D platforming. The game takes place in a dying world filled with strange creatures, large biomes, memorable characters, and bosses. Its story follows a dark fairy tale structure, while the animation draws from classic animated films.
The showcase included a first look at an unannounced game from DigixArt. Handy Games also presented a catalog update, although the recap did not provide further details about either announcement.
