Jagex and Outlier Games officially launched their cooperative sci-fi survival game, This Means Warp, on Steam on May 4th. The spaceship management roguelite game has evolved through numerous updates and content additions since it first entered Early Access in March 2022.
This Means Warp takes players on a thrilling adventure through a hostile galaxy, where they must team up to battle dangerous enemies, adapt their strategies, and upgrade their ships to survive in a procedurally generated universe. The game has expanded significantly since its initial release, now featuring ship-to-ship boarding, multi-ship battles, additional missions, and a full arsenal of unique weapons.
Throughout its Early Access journey, This Means Warp has cultivated a thriving community of players. The launch on May 4th introduced a second-player ship, adding another layer of strategy and complexity to the gameplay. This Means Warp is available now on Steam with a 25% launch discount (£12.56 / €14.63 / $14.99), and will be launching PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
This Means Warp Features:
- Procedurally generated challenges make every game unique with randomized maps, items, enemies, and encounters. Players must adapt to new challenges by making the best of their weapons and upgrades.
- Deep, strategic combat requires players to think on their feet as they contend with hectic, real-time battles where they must balance beating their foes with keeping their ship in one piece.
- Varied roster of crewmates will support players as the galaxy provides challenges and after challenges to overcome. Players can team up with up to three players or choose to fill the ranks using a roster of AI crewmates.
