Counter-Strike 2’s Limited Test launched with only one map, de_dust2, but fans can expect more maps to shuffle in soon. According to recent tweets by a known face in the CS community, Valve plans to add Mirage, Overpass, Nuke, and Ancient to Counter-Strike 2’s Limited Test. While the exact order of map releases is uncertain, Nuke might be the first one, as it was featured in one of the “new smoke videos” when the Limited Test launched.
As per the known Counter-Strike aficionado and dedicated follower, Aquarius:
“Unless @CounterStrike devs change their minds, one (or more) of the following maps will be added to the Limited Test next: Mirage, Overpass, Nuke and Ancient.”
Aquarius further confirmed that Vertigo is also being considered. The whole Counter-Strike community will likely discuss which map should be added first, but Valve will probably pick and choose the one that would benefit most from the new voxel-based volumetric smokes. However, the release dates for these new maps remain unknown.

In other news, with the excitement surrounding the new maps, players have expressed frustration with the invitation system for Counter-Strike 2’s Limited Test. Many urge Valve to increase player capacity and send out invites more frequently, allowing a bigger portion of the community to experience and provide feedback on the game. As anticipation builds for the addition of Mirage, Overpass, Nuke, and Ancient, Valve must address these concerns to ensure a positive reception for the new maps and the ongoing development of Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test.
