Croteam has finally announced the release date for The Talos Principle 2, the sequel to its popular 2014 game. The game is set to release next month, but if you can’t wait that long, there’s a free demo out now on Steam to give you a quick look at what’s coming up.
The demo offers a mix of puzzles that players will encounter in the early stages of the full game. Then, it shifts gears and takes players to puzzles that are about halfway through the game. It’s set up this way to give players a sense of how puzzle elements will develop and get more challenging as they make their way through the game.
Please note that this demo is “specially tailored,” which means any progress you make won’t be transferred to the full game. So think of it more as a sneak peek rather than a head start.
The sequel promises some exciting new mechanics, such as the ability to change gravity and even transfer your character’s mind. These new elements can be seen in the game’s trailer, which gives a glimpse into the different kinds of challenges players will face.
The Talos Principle 2 also promises more than 12 different settings to explore, each with its own unique look and feel. And yes, there will be plenty of robots around to interact with as you solve puzzles and uncover secrets.
The Talos Principle 2 will be available on multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Mark your calendars for November 2nd, when the full game is set to launch.
