Miju Games says The Planet Crafter will arrive on PS5 on July 21, bringing its terraforming-focused survival loop to Sony’s console. The studio is pitching it as a quieter take on the genre, but players still have to keep oxygen, food, and water in check while they work to turn a dead planet into a livable one.

Instead of fighting monsters or dealing with jump scares, the focus stays on building machines, raising atmospheric pressure and temperature, and watching the world change around you. A glacier can melt to open a new route, while plant growth can create a bridge to fresh territory. Miju Games also points to idle-game DNA in the way terraformers keep working as long as the grid has power, so progress can continue while you head out to search wrecks, rare minerals, and the new life forms you create.
The PS5 version supports both single-player and co-op, giving players a chance to shape their own bases and see how far they can push each planet’s transformation.
