Alright, folks, strap in because Capcom is back at it again, and they’re not holding back. We just got a fresh gameplay trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds and a truckload of details from the State of Play. The hype train is still picking up speed, as producer Ryozo Tsujimoto has dropped the bomb that a brand-new trailer is set to premiere at Summer Game Fest on June 7th.

The trailer is about to showcase a brand-new monster, which is about to make a grand entrance, and if the previous reveals are anything to go by, this will be epic. Plus, the showcase will feature some big names. Executive director and art director Kaname Fujioka and director Yuya Tokuda will be there to dish out more juicy details about the game.

Capcom has a lot more queued to reveal as other surprises during the event. Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. And if you think that’s far off, wait until you hear about the monsters. Recently, the dev team gave us a sneak peek at two new large monsters: Doshaguma and Chatacabra. These beasts are going to roam the game’s more advanced ecosystems, which feature extreme weather conditions. It’s going to be a wild ride, literally.

The game introduces some cool new mechanics. You’ve got new weapon actions to master, the Hook Slinger for grabbing those far-off objectives, and Focus Mode for precise attacking, guarding, and aiming. It’s like Capcom took everything we loved about Monster Hunter and cranked it up to eleven.
