Update: Confirmed, Epic Games Store’ free weekly title is GTA V. The offer is available until 21st of May, and that would be a permanent copy of GTA V.

Countless free games have arrived on the Epic Games Store, but no one expected a game nearly close to this caliber. It seems that Epic Games leaked the next free game on the Epic Games Store, and that one is Grand Theft Auto V.

The leak arrived within a form of an ad, which slipped through Epic Games’ hands and got published slightly bit earlier. Five years since the launch, we still monitor the same excitement when it comes to GTA V.

Expectedly, the ad got deleted, which means it may no longer be found, but luckily, people have recorded and reuploaded it on Twitter.

In the meantime, Epic Games’ official Twitter profile holds no further info except the confirmation of a new free game approaching.

The Steam stats page confirms that GTA V is among the top games, even years after launch. Following the past couple of years, this phenomenon is likely to continue in the future.
