NIS America announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon will officially launch on PC in Fall 2025. This interesting news comes with a debut trailer that showcases what players can expect from this highly anticipated installment of the series.
In this latest chapter set in the Trails universe, players will journey through the expansive Calvard Republic, taking control of three distinct protagonists. As they traverse this lively world, players will build connections and develop powerful skills across both real-time and turn-based combat systems while uncovering deep secrets at the heart of Zemuria.
The game brings fresh gameplay mechanics to its battle system, providing various options during encounters. Players can engage foes in an action-oriented Field Battle mode, then switch gears to employ strategic tactics using the turn-based Command Battle mode.
A notable addition is the introduction of Shard Commands. These commands allow players to activate S-Boosts that offer various advantages during battles. Each character and holo core comes equipped with distinct Shard Commands that improve their abilities—making strategic planning essential as you assemble your party.
Certain characters will also exhibit special skills; for instance, Van can transform into Grendel, gaining additional strength through Awakening during Field Battles. This tactical element adds layers to combat scenarios.
The game introduces another interesting mechanic called Z.O.C., which allows players to manipulate time by significantly slowing down enemies. Activating Z.O.C. enables characters to unleash multiple attacks rapidly while boosting attack power and stun damage, creating interesting moments in battle.
Players can recruit allies throughout Calvard and face off against Ouroboros’s schemes within a distinct dungeon known as Grim Garten, where custom parties can be formed to tackle challenges together.
