The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered received Title Update 1.4 from Nixxes, bringing some notable improvements for PC players. This patch introduces NVIDIA DLSS 4 support, fixes AMD and Intel upscaling issues, and addresses several bugs affecting visuals and gameplay. Here’s what you need to know about the latest update.
If you own an NVIDIA RTX GPU, you can now take advantage of the new Transformer model for DLSS 4 upscaling, which aims to boost performance and image quality. Owners of the RTX 50 series GPUs also get Multi-Frame Generation toggled directly in the game’s settings, removing the need for the NVIDIA app.
AMD users aren’t left out either. The patch fixes a problem where AMD FSR Frame Generation wasn’t producing new frames and resolves ghosting issues that appeared when using this feature. Intel GPU support also improves with an update to Intel XeSS upscaling version 2.0.1, promising better visuals and smoother performance.
Beyond upscaling, the update tackles several bugs. A missing material that made a window in Seattle Downtown appear passable has been fixed, along with inconsistent mirror image quality in The Farm area. A flickering issue affecting hair, trees, and snow when Depth of Field was enabled has been resolved, stabilizing the game’s graphics.
Another quirky bug where the camera clipped through a building in The Seraphites section—letting players peek out of bounds—has been patched. After interacting with objects in specific locations, texture loading happens faster and more smoothly, improving overall gameplay flow.
Other fixes include correcting the DualSense controller rumble when connected via Bluetooth, updating tutorial prompts, moving gore toggle options to the graphics menu, and addressing ultrawide cinematic bugs. This update also includes stability improvements, eager to reduce crashes and improve performance, though specific details weren’t shared.
