So, let’s talk about that pesky little hotfix that just rolled out for The First Descendant. If you’ve ever been in the middle of a gaming session and suddenly felt like your hard drive was auditioning for a horror movie role, this update might save your day, or at least save you some storage space!

This latest patch is all about tidying up after itself, explicitly addressing an issue where the M1 log had taken on a life of its own, ballooning to abnormal sizes during gameplay. This is one of those times when less really is more; nobody wants their game files taking over their device like an overzealous house guest who won’t leave.

Patch Notes:

    • Patch Schedule:
      – PST 2025.01.09 (Thu) 21:30
    • Platforms:
      – Steam
      – For XBOX SERIES X│S, XBOX ONE, PS4, and PS5, the patch will be applied after certification is completed. Once the patch is live, details will be updated here.
  • Patch Details:
    – Fixed an issue where the M1 log was being excessively stored on some devices, causing abnormal increases in file size during gameplay.

If you’re curious about more details or want to check out the original announcement from the developers themselves, feel free to hop over to this link: here!

This hotfix feels like that friend who finally cleaned up their messy apartment before hosting a game night, much appreciated! So what do you think about this update, good or bad?
