Nexon posted The First Descendant’s February known issues on February 2, 2026, detailing a set of gameplay, UI, and platform problems and listing planned fixes and compensation windows.
Leaderboard counting bug (dated February 2)
The developer identified a problem where leaderboard records in certain content were incorrectly counted when a party member left after entering but before the match countdown ended. Records were being calculated based on the number of players remaining in the party rather than the party composition at entry.
That bug is scheduled for a fix in Update 1.3.18. Nexon said any leaderboard records created through the abnormal behavior will be excluded. After adjustment, eligible Descendants who meet the revised criteria will be able to receive their rewards. As partial restitution, Nexon will grant 1 Crystallization Catalyst to affected accounts that log in during the compensation window from after maintenance on February 5, 2026 (Thursday) until February 18, 2026 at 22:59 PST.
Previously reported issues and current notes
The bulletin repeats several earlier items that remain under investigation or scheduled for fixes. These include:
- An issue where purchasing the Premium Battle Pass still prevents some Descendants from reaching Level 400 even after earning all available EXP. Nexon attributed this to an unintended design oversight in Season 3 Episode 2 and says it reviewed and adjusted the Season 3 Episode 3 experience and level structure. As compensation, 300 Bonus Coins will be granted to all players who purchased the Season 3 Episode 2: Assemble Premium Battle Pass. The coins are planned for distribution on February 9, 2026 and can be used in the newly launched Battle Pass.
- An incorrect maximum stack count shown in the Kill Chain trigger module tooltip. This display error will be corrected in Update 1.3.18.
- Missing description text in the Explosive Drone skill tooltip when Enzo’s Transcendent Module Compressed Bullet is equipped in languages other than Korean. The missing line is the description that using the skill reloads the equipped firearm.
- Missing passive skill tooltip text for Ultimate Yujin’s Transcendent Modules Proliferating Allergy and Battlefield Medic. The tooltip did not display “Revive speed for allies in the DBNO state is increased.”
- Cosmetic issue where parts of Sharen’s “Rabbit Game” body skin dye are not applied to certain model parts.
Intel CPU crashes
Players reported crashes on some Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs. On affected systems the game may close with an “Out of video memory” error on launch. Nexon noted that the issue can sometimes be mitigated by adjusting power limits in the PC BIOS while the developer awaits further input from Intel. For reference, Nexon shared Intel’s official response.
Antivirus and Easy Anti-Cheat guidance
Nexon listed temporary workarounds for client termination caused by some antivirus programs and gave platform-specific instructions for adding the game to exceptions. For Bitdefender the suggested path is System Protection > Advanced Threat Detection (ATD) > Manage Exclusions. The bulletin links to Bitdefender’s support FAQ for more details at Bitdefender support. For McAfee the guidance is to restore TheFirstDescendant.exe from the quarantined programs list via McAfee Security > Navigation > Quarantined and Trusted Items, with general support resources available at McAfee support.
If Easy Anti-Cheat does not function correctly, Nexon instructs players to consult the Easy Anti-Cheat FAQ and, if problems persist, to contact customer support with screenshots through the game’s official support channels (Official Website > Customer Support > FAQ > Contact Us).
The bulletin closes with a brief thank-you and a promise to update the known issues list as more bugs are discovered or as fixes are prepared.
