The First Descendant just got another quick hotfix that tackles some pesky bugs messing with Daily Challenges and Battle Pass rewards. If you’ve been frustrated by crashes or weird resets, this update is kinda a relief.
Patch 1.3.1c went live on August 14, 2025, and it’s available on Steam, Xbox Series X│S, and PS5. The devs patched it maintenance-free, so you need to update and jump back in.
Here’s what got fixed:

- Fixed a crash issue that happened when trying to reshuffle a Daily Challenge, which also caused the challenge to be lost.
- Fixed a bug where Daily Challenges would reset after reconnecting, which popped up after the previous Hotfix 1.3.1b.
- Fixed an exploit where players could get Battle Pass EXP multiple times by completing a Daily Challenge and switching fields.
- Fixed Daily Challenges resetting upon reconnect after completion.
- Battle Pass rewards gained through the above bug between Hotfix 1.3.1b and this fix will be revoked. The schedule for this rollback will be shared separately.
Wow, that Battle Pass EXP exploit sounds like it could have been a headache for the devs. Guess they’re cracking down on it hard. It’s kinda annoying that some players might lose rewards, but fair play to the team for sorting this out fast.
