The First Descendant has received a small but vital hotfix to address a problem some players were experiencing when attempting to purchase a Descendant using a Purchase Ticket. This update, version 1.2.22d, is now live on Steam, Xbox Series X│| S, and PS5, and it doesn’t require any downtime.

In some instances, the purchase button becomes disabled, preventing players from completing their Descendant acquisition. That kind of hiccup can be pretty frustrating, especially when you’re ready to jump into the action with a new character. The developers have addressed this issue directly, so everyone should now have a smoother experience.

Here are the specifics of the update:

Patch Notes for The First Descendant Hotfix 1.2.22d

  • Fixed an issue where the purchase button could become disabled when using a Descendant Purchase Ticket, preventing the acquisition of the Descendant.

This patch went live on July 8, 2025, at 01:40 PDT and applies to Steam, Xbox Series X│S, and PS5 platforms. No maintenance was required, allowing players to continue playing uninterrupted.

Have you encountered this issue yourself? Or maybe you noticed other quirks while playing? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. It’s always interesting to see how these fixes impact the overall gameplay.
