The Division 2’s Echoes of Central Park Expansion Will Arrive on November 3

The New York expansion will add three companions, six skill variants, a new Exotic weapon, and an endgame loop built around Central Park encounters.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park will launch on November 3, taking Agents into an overgrown Central Park and the surrounding Upper West Side. Ubisoft is framing the DLC as a darker story about paranoia, rumors, and a mysterious threat connected to a possible new virus variant.

Ubisoft had previously revealed Echoes of Central Park as the next expansion without providing a release date. The new announcement fills in that missing detail while outlining the map, story structure, companions, and endgame systems coming with it. Ubisoft also detailed the expansion in its Steam announcement.

Central Park becomes The Division 2’s next danger zone

Agents will begin in the Upper West Side, with the playable area stretching from Lincoln Square to the Dakota District before reaching Central Park itself. Nature has overrun the streets as the park expands beyond its old boundaries, while civilians, faction members, friends, and relatives begin turning up dead or disappearing in brutal circumstances.

Central Park was used as a mass burial ground during the outbreak, and the last known presence inside it has gone silent. A distress signal from deep within the park sends SHD agents into the area, where they will face familiar enemies alongside a new apex threat. The campaign takes place during the summer after Warlords of New York and uses a flashback structure guided by a narrator’s version of what happened.

Ubisoft describes the map as much larger than the one introduced in Battle for Brooklyn. Players can tackle the campaign alone or in co-op. Agents below Level 40 will receive a boost so they can enter the DLC immediately without first completing the base game’s full progression path.

Three companions will support Agents in combat

Echoes of Central Park will add three reluctant allies, each with a different background and combat role. Players will need to help them overcome their personal fears before they offer their full support in battle.

  • Brayleigh Callahan: A Sniper, MIT graduate, and Olympic shooting medalist.
  • Elwood Franklin: A Protector who worked as a mall cop and hopes to become an NYPD officer.
  • Morse Feeney: An Assault fighter, rugged veteran, and former first-wave Division agent with a mysterious past.

Companions can be changed when replaying missions, and each one will react to situations differently. The Deluxe Edition will include outfits inspired by the three allies along with a weapon skin for the new Exotic.

A different endgame awaits inside the park

Early trips into Central Park will leave Agents without GPS while enemies continue to press the attack. Learning the area and uncovering information about its inhabitants will gradually give players more control over later encounters, turning the campaign’s hunted-prey setup into a more deliberate endgame loop.

Performance during those encounters will affect the path ahead. Successful runs can grant exclusive rewards, while poor results can create disadvantages for future challenges. That system is meant to bring players back to Central Park and the Upper West Side after finishing the main story instead of treating the new locations as a one-time visit.

New skills, gear, and a Steam pre-order bonus

Defeating the forces inside Central Park will unlock six skill variants, including the Corrosive Trap and Gas Bomber. The expansion will also introduce The Ratel, a new Exotic weapon, and a new gear set.

Players who pre-order the DLC on Steam will receive the NY Purifier Mask when Echoes of Central Park launches on November 3.
