The Division 2 is getting Title Update Y7S2.3 with a trio of short timers and quality of life tweaks that change how the end of the season feels. The big headline is a free Rank Up track that opens after Tier 100 and runs from November 18 to December 2. Players also get a Prestige Rank Up cache with improved odds, a Climax Mission that goes live on November 11 with a new Exotic kneepads drop, and a Shepherd event that starts on November 25.

Patch Notes – Title Update Y7S2.3

STRETCH GOALS – RANK UP – SEASON PASS EXTENSION

Rank Up arrives on November 18 and runs until December 2. Once players finish Tier 100 of the Season Pass, the extra track opens and allows continued reward progress on the free track. Everything in Rank Up is included on the free track so no premium purchase is required.

After reaching Tier 100 Rank Up, progress can only be earned by playing and cannot be advanced through level skips. Progress is gained from the same Season Pass XP sources including Manhunt Scouts the Seasonal Journey Priority Objectives Weekly Projects missions and open world activities. XP Multiplier Event bonuses now apply to Rank Up progression while those events are active.

This iteration introduces two cache types, Rank Up and Prestige Rank Up. The Prestige version is obtained the same way as the regular one and appears on the reward track as the Tier 10 reward. It offers higher odds for exotic and named item drops.

Improvements

The developer adjusted Rank Up based on player feedback to reduce frustration and give more flexibility. Highlights include the addition of the Prestige Rank Up Cache a shorter event window and XP Multiplier Event bonuses applying to Rank Up progression

  • Added Prestige Rank Up Cache to give more consistent high value drops
  • Shorter event window to keep the pace focused
  • XP Multiplier Event bonuses now apply to Rank Up progression

CLIMAX MISSION

On November 11 the Climax Mission for The Pact becomes available with two Exotics in its pool. Tempest remains in the reward pool and a new pair of Exotic Kneepads called Blacklisters has been added. If players already own Tempest its Blueprint will be purchasable from Inaya.

Blacklisters – Exotic Kneepads

Talent “Ostracize”

  • Shooting an enemy applies a mark. Only one mark can be active at a time. The mark disappears after 15s or when the marked enemy dies
  • Receive 600% Amplified Damage from the marked enemy
  • Deal 20% Amplified Damage to unmarked enemies
  • If only one enemy remains in combat the mark disappears and cannot be reapplied

SHEPHERD EVENT

  • Starts November 25 and runs until the end of the season
  • Complete six new projects to earn rewards including XP exotic components and reconstructed caches
  • Completing the final project awards the Caretaker Named G36 Enhanced with the Perfect Killer talent

To complete each project players must gain a Shepherd Rank earned by receiving endorsements. During the event a Shepherd XP boost will be active so answering call for backup requests and staying with the agent who needs help grants extra Shepherd XP

OTHER

  • Fixed an issue with loadout swapping that caused multiple talents to stack through the “Abridged” Talent
  • Fixed the issue where the Marauder drone’s model size did not match its hitboxes making it difficult to damage or destroy weakpoints
  • Fixed the issue where Turmoil kneepads and the Negotiator’s Dilemma gear set could unintentionally deal damage to player deployed turrets
  • Fixed the issue where the Donate All Junk button could stop functioning after being used once during Expertise level up
  • Fixed the issue that could block mission progression if the gathering point was skipped before Beat 5 in the Legacy Climax mission for Captain Lewis
  • Fixed the issue where no comms were granted upon completing the Crossroads Manhunt Climax Mission
  • Fixed the issue with the Special Weapon Cache not dropping any items after dropping the Halloween Patch and Trophy

Questions about Rank Up or how the Prestige caches change drop odds are covered in the official Steam post on the update. Players who want background on Y7S2 season changes can consult earlier Y7S2 patch notes.
