EA’s E3 2018 conference has discovered many things, including news about Anthem. The developer has unveiled the official release date, as BioWare’s representative brought this proud announcement. Anthem officially releases on February 22, but the most exciting part is different. It will contain no loot boxes whatsoever.
However, many people, amazingly, find it quite rough because Anthem won’t be available to play if you have no internet connection. Well, let us remind you that it’s an Action RPG and all the character’s information should be stored on a server. Otherwise, there will be a way to tweak your favorite gear.
The confirmation has come from Mark Darrah and his twitter profile.

Anthem will, however, include story progress, as well as an open-world grinding aspect of the game by finding the right balance between them. As the developers noted, the way they want it to play out is allowing the player to achieve them both in consecutive order.
Being able to customize the character the way you want, it’s somewhat a bummer that it won’t include loot boxes so players could get their favorite cosmetics if any exist in the game. However, more about that we’ll probably hear as we’re getting close to its release date, which is February 22.
