Riot Games used the Teamfight Tactics Paris Open in December 2025 to outline the auto-battler’s 2026 roadmap, including three new Sets, a Lunar Revel event in January, and a planned TFT Las Vegas Open for December 2026.
The 2026 plan includes three new seasonal Sets and several recurring events. Riot confirmed the return of Fates: Festival of Beasts for the TFT Lunar Revel in January 2026 and said Pengu’s Party will return in June 2026 to mark the game’s seventh anniversary. The studio also flagged a North American TFT Las Vegas Open for December 2026, following international stops in France and Macao.
Riot teased themes for each Set in a roadmap video featuring Geoff Virtue, VP Executive Producer of Teamfight Tactics, and Peter Whalen, Senior Game Director of Teamfight Tactics.
Sets and timing
- Set 17 is slated for Spring 2026 and will put the carousel system front and center. Whalen described the Set as “looking to the cosmos.”
- Set 18 is scheduled for Summer 2026 and will revisit a past mechanic, with the Set’s aesthetic built around a verdant forest.
- Set 19 will land in Winter 2026 and is themed around music. Riot’s graphic for the Set described it as, “Grab your tickets to our biggest musical event yet.”
Events and PvE outlook
Alongside live events and seasonal Sets, Riot confirmed the return of Pengu’s Party in June 2026 as part of TFT’s anniversary activity. Details around the event are posted on the official TFT site.
Riot also addressed the studio’s work on PvE. Teamfight Tactics launched Ao Shin’s Ascent in 2025 as its first rogue-like mode, and Riot said the team was “really happy with how Ao Shin’s Ascent was received” while adding that they are “honestly just getting started.” Whalen warned players not to “expect it to appear on this year’s roadmap.”
