Escape from Tarkov players spent July 1 parsing a teaser from Nikita Buyanov that seemed to point mainly at Kord Breach, the first season for the shooter, which is due later this month.
In a July 1 post on X, Buyanov wrote that “some #kordbreach stuff is in there too,” and the clip’s final moments briefly showed a female action figure in military gear holding a submachine gun.

The figure does not look like a PMC reveal
That was enough to get some fans talking about female operators, but the safer read is that Battlestate was showing another character model or piece of Tarkov artwork rather than a new playable option. The figure also carries items already tied to the game, including Tagilla’s “Boss” cap, which makes her look more like part of the same universe than a surprise system change.
This is not the first time Battlestate has leaned on female-themed concept art and merch around Tarkov. The studio has shown off gender-swapped Shturman body pillows at Tokyo Game Show and acrylic cut-outs based on female versions of The Goons, but the game’s only core female character remains Therapist.
So for now, the teaser looks much more like a Kord Breach preview than a hidden PMC reveal. If Battlestate has more than concept art in mind, it did not spell that out here.
