Tarkov Bosses Are Everywhere as the 1.1.0.0 Update Nears
Battlestate Games has raised boss spawn rates to 100% across every map and warned that their gear cannot be sold on the Flea Market.

Escape from Tarkov has entered a boss-heavy event ahead of Update 1.1.0.0. Battlestate Games has set boss spawn rates to 100% on every map, turning each raid into a much more dangerous hunt.
The event also affects night raids, although the exact reason they are now riskier has not been explained. Scav Bosses are carrying heavier equipment, and the gear taken from them cannot be placed on the Flea Market.
Every Tarkov Map Has Guaranteed Boss Spawns
Players entering any map can now expect a boss to appear. The increased instability across Tarkov’s regions is tied to the event, which Battlestate Games is running as it prepares the game for its next major update.
Update 1.1.0.0 will introduce Tarkov’s first season. The season, called Kord Breach, is scheduled to begin on August 3, 2026. The update itself does not have a confirmed installation time in the available information, but its arrival is planned around the start of the season. More details on the timing and progression changes are available in the report on how Update 1.1.0.0 will change task unlocks.
Battlestate Games has also indicated that players should hold on to certain boss drops. The teased gear includes:
- Fast MT Helmet – 1 pc.
- Ops-Core FAST RAC Headset – 1 pc.
- GPNVG-18 Night Vision Goggles – 1 pc.
- ANA Tactical M1 Body Armor Plate Carrier – 1 pc.
- Fake Beard – 1 pc.
- Document Tablet – 1 pc.
- Molot 7.62×39 75-round Drum Magazine – 1 pc.
- Ammo Box – 1 pc.
- 7.62x39mm BP Ammunition – 450 rounds.
- F-1 Grenades – 10 pcs.
- Zarya Stun Grenades – 10 pcs.
- AKMN Rifle – 1 pc.
That haul points to another stage of the pre-wipe and pre-season event, though Battlestate Games has not explained how these items will be used. For now, every raid offers a chance to fight a boss and extract with equipment that cannot be sold through the Flea Market.
