SWTOR’s 8.0 Difficulty Modes Will Get a Preview on August 20
The Let's Play broadcast will begin at 1:00 p.m. CT / 6:00 p.m. UTC before the feature reaches the Public Test Server.

STAR WARS: The Old Republic will host a Let’s Play livestream on August 20, giving players an early look at the new 8.0 Difficulty Modes feature before it becomes available on the Public Test Server. The event was confirmed in a Steam announcement.
The broadcast will begin at 1:00 p.m. CT / 6:00 p.m. UTC on the game’s official Twitch channel. The announcement did not provide a date for the feature’s arrival on the Public Test Server, so August 20 is currently the date of the presentation rather than the feature’s release.
What the SWTOR livestream will show
The team plans to go over how the 8.0 Difficulty Modes feature works ahead of its public testing period. No further details about the modes were shared, leaving the livestream as the next scheduled opportunity for players to see the feature in action.
The broadcast comes as Game Update 8.0 continues to take shape, with the upcoming Masters of the Force era also tied to the next chapter of SWTOR’s story. For now, the August 20 presentation is specifically focused on the new difficulty feature.
