SWTOR 7.9.1 Is Live, but Its Biggest Events Arrive Later
Galactic Season 11 begins August 18, while the Feast of Prosperity returns October 6 with a new Waiter Droid Customization.

STAR WARS: The Old Republic Game Update 7.9.1 is now live. The official Steam announcement confirms the release, which adds a new Cartel Market category while preparing several events and rewards for later dates.
The update follows the previously announced 7.9.1 plans, with the main seasonal content now closer to launch.
Galactic Season 11 begins August 18
Galactic Season 11, titled “Light and Shadow,” will begin on August 18 and use a structure similar to Season 10. Rewards from Seasons 2 and 4 will return, including the Fen Zeil and Amity companions.
The new season will also add customizations for both companions, a new armor reward, companion-compatible mounts, titles, and Stronghold labels. More information about the season will be published closer to its launch.

Feast of Prosperity returns in October
The seasonal Feast of Prosperity event will return on October 6 and remain active through November 3. This run adds a new Waiter Droid Customization for C2-N2 and 2V-R8.
Cartel Market adds an Accessories category
Game Update 7.9.1 introduces an Accessories category to the Cartel Market. These are individual appearance items rather than complete sets, giving players more ways to customize their characters. The first new batch has a cybernetics focus, joining several accessory items that were already available in the game.
The official Cartel Market article provides the additional storefront details.

8.0 testing and Twitch Drops are active
The first phase of the 8.0 Public Test Server is also live. Players can test new abilities for the following class pairs:
- Sentinel/Marauder
- Vanguard/Powertech
- Sage/Sorcerer
The test build also includes the first boss from the upcoming Children of Nul Operation. That encounter is available in Story and Veteran modes. The official PTS forum post has the full testing information.
Two Twitch Drops are currently active for the next 28 days. Watching one hour of live content grants the Ruhnuk Poster Decoration, while five hours awards the Vectron Colette EM4 Mount.

A future Let’s Play livestream will focus on features planned for Game Update 8.0.
Update 7.9.1 gives SWTOR players new rewards and customization options now, with Galactic Season 11 and the Feast of Prosperity arriving later. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
