Last week, Supergiant Games’ roguelike indie Hades got officially released, after a long wait from the fans. If you aren’t familiar with it, Hades is about Zagreus, the son of the Greek God of the Underworld, Hades, who’s on a quest to escape from the Underworld. Zagreus can get aided by many other Olympian Gods to succeed in his journey. Every time he’s defeated, he gets sent back to his father’s palace.
Hades has now sold more than 1,000,000 copies.

700,000 of these were during our Early Access development. To all our Early Access players: Thank you so much. We designed Hades for Early Access, believing you could help us make a better game. That's just what you did. #HadesGame pic.twitter.com/ueuG4lDMz8
Hades has been an indie hit even while it was in early access for two years. But now, it has surpassed 1,000,000 copies, from which 700,000 of them were bought during early access, meaning the game has always been successful. It’s also awe-inspiring that the game has sold around 300,000 more copies in less than a week! For an indie game, these numbers are impressive.
Hades is available for Nintendo Switch and PC right now, and it’s 20% off through Steam, EGS, and the Nintendo Game Store.
