Summoners War v8.7.5 Update Brings Storage Improvements and Mentor System Changes

Summoners War's v8.7.5 update improves monster storage, adds new World Arena features, and adjusts Mentor system rules.

Summoners War has rolled out its v8.7.5 update on Steam, introducing various quality-of-life changes, especially to monster management and competitive modes. A quick save before the update is wise if you’re actively playing, since a brief downtime affects specific game modes.

The update includes a smoother way to move monsters between storage locations like Sky Island and the Sealed Shrine. You can now select from a dropdown menu to transfer monsters more easily, which should help if you juggle many units.

One of the more interesting additions is the temporary engraving feature. It lets you borrow runes and artifacts from monsters stored in the Normal Monster Sealed Shrine for battles in Siege, Arena, and Arena Interserver Battle. This temporary setup costs 300,000 Mana Stones and reverts after the fight ends. It’s a neat way to try out different builds without permanent changes, though runes on monsters in Repeat Battle won’t be available for this.

For those who love tinkering with their rune and artifact setups in the World Arena, there’s now a new save slot to store and load bulk configurations. You can keep your current setup in Slot 1 and try new combinations in Slot 2, which might come in handy for adapting strategies quickly.

Storage limits for Runes, Gems/Grindstones, Artifacts, and Conversion Stones have also been raised, which many players will appreciate since inventory space can get tight.

In the World Arena’s SWC mode, a favorites feature lets you pre-ban up to 10 monsters. This adds a layer of strategic preparation before matches, which could shake things up a bit.

Siege Battle players can load Runes and Artifacts directly from the Guild Battle Research settings menu, streamlining the process when preparing for battles.

Mentor system changes are notable. The minimum level for mentors has increased from 50 to 100, and mentors must now approve requests instead of automatic pairing. Relationships involving mentors below level 100 will be disabled after this update. Plus, mentees who have been inactive for over 30 days will be removed in a batch action, rather than waiting for them to log in.

There’s also a seasonal theme option for Arena and World Arena that you can toggle in settings and special time-limited attribute summon packs in the shop running until August 31.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bulk crafting issues for Gems, Grindstones, and Rift Crystals in the Craft Building.
  • Siege Battle deck management now properly allows adding monsters placed in defense.
  • Corrected the duration of Water Devil Maiden’s [Bind: Demon Bag] when attacked by Light Frankenstein’s [Body Press].
  • Resolved a bug that caused a crash when opening Monster info during Siege Battle.
  • Monsters in the Sealed Shrine now appear correctly when searched by name.
  • Fixed incorrect server info and inaccessible guild details in World Guild Battle rankings.

The update schedule varies by server region, with brief downtime for World Arena and related modes. To avoid crashes, remember to save your progress and exit to the Village before the update starts.
