Stellar Blade is headed to Switch 2, and Sony’s role may be ending
Shift Up has confirmed the port while also signaling that its next Stellar Blade project will be self-published.

Shift Up has confirmed that Stellar Blade is coming to Switch 2, widening the game’s reach beyond the platforms it already calls home. The action game first launched as a timed PS5 console exclusive, reached PC last year, and Sony’s publishing role on the project now appears to be over.
That change also fits the broader direction around the series. Shift Up has already said the next entry, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, will be self-published, and the studio has been steering the franchise toward a more independent setup. The franchise’s publishing future has already been a talking point, with Stellar Blade 2’s publishing path pointing to a different setup for the sequel.
For now, the big headline is simple. Stellar Blade is adding another platform, and Switch 2 owners will get a shot at Shift Up’s action game if the port arrives as planned.
