Hello, fellow troopers! Today, we’re diving into the latest update for Starship Troopers: Extermination, a game that has recently rekindled our love for cooperative bug-squashing mayhem. With Update 1.1.2 now available for download, players can look forward to some exciting changes along with a few pesky bugs, no pun intended! Let’s look at what this update entails, shall we?
Server Performance Improvements
- The developers have increased memory capacity on servers to help reduce crashes during those exhilarating prolonged battles with our buggy foes. This is definitely a step in the right direction for maintaining smoother gameplay and ensuring you don’t lose your hard-fought progress when fighting tooth and nail against hordes of Arachnids.
New Buggy Challenges
An intriguing note from the field mentions an uptick in hardened shell bugs, which means that traditional Federation-approved strategies might need some tweaking! Players are encouraged to stick together while figuring out how best to tackle these new threats, teamwork makes the dream work after all!
Known Issues – A Little Bumpy Ahead
- Trophy progress for Bug Kills on PS5 seems to be stuck but will complete eventually. So hang tight, it’s just taking its sweet time.
- If you’re playing on PS5, prepare for some stuttering issues as players join matches, definitely not ideal during an intense bug hunt.
- A quirky little glitch where Class Ability UI may disappear is also noted, however, it still functions behind the scenes. A quick redeploy or accessing the Loadout Locker should bring it back into view.
Gameplay & General Fixes – Smoothing Out the Edges
- Fixed a rather amusing bug where larger Carnage corpses would trap other bugs, a bit of dark humor there!
- The Gear Locker’s tendency to close unexpectedly while trying to open it has been addressed, making gear management less frustrating.
- Praise be, the server crashes mid-Horde match have been resolved! Your frantic fights will no longer end abruptly due to technical hiccups.
- A non-interactable “PLAY” button appearing while matchmaking? Consider that sorted as well!
- The class selection spam issue has also been fixed, no more overwhelming your teammates with endless toggles!
- A few language-related issues have been corrected too, especially important for our German-speaking friends among us!
- Bugs during Arc Slam gameplay have had their spawn rates improved too, more action equals more fun!
This update certainly brings both fixes and fresh challenges that can either enhance or hinder your experience depending on how you adapt your strategies. As always, I encourage everyone to share their thoughts and experiences with fellow players over at the official Discord community linked above, it’s always delightful hearing how others are navigating these updates!

In summary (without actually using ‘summary’), Update 1.1.2 feels like a mixed bag of goodies that keeps us engaged while reminding us there’s always room for improvement in any bug-fighting adventure. Stay sharp out there. Those bugs won’t squish themselves! We love you all!
