Bethesda has rolled out Starfield Title Update 1.15.216, also called the May Update. This patch mainly focuses on fixing stability issues, adding a Very Low graphics preset, and expanding supported resolutions. If you have already tried the beta version released earlier in May, this update won’t surprise you much.
For players who skipped the beta, the new Very Low graphics setting aims to help performance on less powerful devices. The update also supports ultra-wide resolutions like 32:9 and 32:10, alongside more options for 16:9, 16:10, and 21:9 aspect ratios. A notable fix addresses frame rate drops when opening the scanner during long play sessions.
Stability improvements include fixes for crashes related to moving or removing buildings at the Main Outpost in Andraphon and a rare crash when entering Unity. The patch also tackles control locks during dialogue scenes and vehicle interactions, and resolves issues with quicksaving and exiting the vanity camera on PC.
Gameplay tweaks cover a range of fixes: interiors that blocked cargo access, missile XP awards, and creatures getting stuck in water have all been addressed. The update also improves quest-related bugs like the Trade Tower elevator and bounty scanner missions.
