Bethesda has released the Starfield Title Update Beta 1.15.214 for PC, aiming to improve performance and stability while addressing several gameplay and technical issues. This update might be beneficial for players experiencing frame rate drops or crashes during extended play sessions.
One notable addition is a Very Low graphics preset designed to help the game run smoothly on some devices. The update also expands supported resolutions, including ultra-wide 32:9 and 32:10 options, alongside more 16:9, 16:10, and 21:9 resolutions.
Performance improvements include fixing a frame rate drop that could happen when opening the scanner after extended play sessions. Stability has been improved by resolving crashes related to moving or removing buildings at the Main Outpost in Andraphon and a rare crash when entering Unity.
Gameplay fixes address issues such as interiors blocking cargo access, missiles preventing XP awards, and creatures getting stuck in water. The update also includes various control lock fixes, UI improvements, and localization corrections.
For players interested in modding, this beta update supports larger creations up to 2GB and allows creators to add new icons. The Creations Store now supports bundling mods, which could make managing mods easier.
