Hey everyone! The latest patch for STAR WARS: The Old Republic, version 7.7d, is out and it’s packed with all sorts of fixes and changes that might quietly improve your gameplay experience. General Fixes
- Summoning another mount while already mounted no longer triggers weird animations.
- The top Guild Contributor leaderboard is back in the Guild Invasions tab — yay for friendly competition!
- Cinematic trailers now respect the volume settings you set in the game.
Character Customization Updates
- Fixed a rare bug where opening the customization window randomly changed skin tones.
- Cathar NPCs’ fur colors are now consistent again.
- Addressed skin color issues on characters showing Dark Side corruption, though some edge cases remain under investigation.
Dynamic Encounters Improvements
Dynamic Encounters on Dromund Kaas and Coruscant now count towards the Dynamic Encounter Pinnacle objective, but starter planet encounters still don’t count for Conquest.
Dromund Kaas Specifics
- Boss enemies got proper immunity buffs.
- “Shocking Developments” waves spawn correctly now, so no more stuck battles.
- Mapnotes for “Shocking Developments” and “Spire Consequences” updated to avoid overlap and clarify objectives.
- “Powder Keg” no longer fails immediately, giving players more time to disable air support beacons.
- “Ritual Killing” mission steps updated to allow completion even if the Ritual Master was defeated by someone else; also, the Ritual Master’s damage output was lowered.
- Sith Spirits in “Dark Temple” now share tagging.
- “Venerated Relics” encounter can be completed even after Nil Venerous is defeated; the Mark of Power buff properly boosts health and damage by 3% per stack.
- Visual fixes and dialogue timing corrections for various missions like “Lord Grathan’s Assault” and “Sith Affairs.”
- Bosses in “Hard Target” have reduced levels and health.
- “Rogue Droid Uprising” and “Kaas City Expansion” encounter names fixed across UI elements and achievements.
Coruscant Updates
- Bosses received correct immunity buffs.
- Achievements like “Blot Out the Sun” moved to the right categories.
- “They’re Listening!” and “Vandals at the Gate” encounters no longer overlap.
- Companions now auto-resummon after polymorph effects end in “Detention Is Over” and “Vandals at the Gate.”
- Mapnotes now properly appear for “Understaffed.”
- Jedi Temple Boss Achievement name updated from placeholder.
Other Planets
- Ilum: Fixed missing idle animations on Republic Saboreur NPCs; visual and animation fixes on droids; fixed delays in mortar impact effects.
- Hutta: Players logging out during “Jiguuna Cleanup” while controlling a droid can now complete missions; visual effects for Ion Beam and Railgun fixed.
- Ord Mantell: Mission names and progress tooltips fixed; Separatist Defector NPCs now have idle animations; Ethan Remak respawns more often.
- Hoth: Texture fix for ice fisherman NPC; “Pirate Problem” encounter now progresses properly regardless of other players’ completion.
Missions
- Quesh Inoculation mission icons are now purple on the map.
- Companions correctly desummon and resummon during polymorph and turret mounting in Iokath missions.
- Mail from Arcann after “Whispers in the Force” is now sent correctly and without duplicates.
- Group loot fixes for schematic fragments on Balmorra.
- Mapnotes added or corrected for missions like “Makeb: Shelter From the Storm” and “The Wretch King.”
- Guest companions Darth Rivix/Tau Adair appear correctly in “Old Wounds: Meet with Dr. Oggurobb.”
- Conversation triggers fixed for “Manaan: Retaliation.”
Items and Decorations
- Players no longer get stuck jumping on the Empty Fireworks Launcher decoration.
- Propagator Core XR-53 Trophy Decoration now shows correctly in the Preview Window.
- Several decorations now correctly cite their Achievement sources.
- Republic Kolto Tank decoration now drops properly during the Ilum Dynamic Encounter.
- Rare loot drops from Harbinger of Fear, Martinique Desler, and Commandant Jenarian fixed.
User Interface
- Magnifying button functionality restored when using custom interfaces.
Abilities and Combat Changes
- Polymorphed Tythe gains proper Rage stacks and can use Rage Overload at 10 stacks.
- Swiftness on Sentinels and Marauders now grants intended movement speed (no more extra speed!).
Assassin/Shadow Disciplines
- Avoidance/Celerity cooldown reductions on key abilities like Jolt, Mind Snap, and Force Speed.
- Deception Assassin/Infiltration Shadow passives buffed: Duplicity/Infiltration Tactics damage bonus increased and cooldown shortened; Dark Embrace/Shadow’s Respite damage reduction improved.
Sorcerer/Sage Disciplines
- Force costs increased for Resurgence/Rejuvenate, Static Barrier/Force Armor, and Dark Heal/Benevolence.
- Force Mend cooldown increased from 30 to 40 seconds.
- Lightning Sorcerer/Telekinetics Sage got boosted crit damage on Convection/Clamoring Force and higher chance for Forked Lightning/Telekinetic Momentum to hit twice.
- Madness Sorcerer/Balance Sage’s Force Leech/Force Serenity heals less (40% down from 50%).
- Corruption Sorcerer/Seer Sage force cost for Dark Infusion/Deliverance lowered; Preservation reduces Static Barrier force cost more.
Mercenary/Commando Changes
- new Ordinance/Assault Specialist cooldown for Volatile Warhead/Hyper Assault Rounds reduced; Superheated Shot/Scorching Bolts armor penetration increased.
- Arsenal Mercenary/Gunnery Commando very important hit chance and damage bonuses improved.
Operative/Scoundrel Updates
- Surgical Probe/Emergency Medpac healing power and minimum heals increased.
- Kolto Injection/Underworld Medicine cast time reduced.
- Toxic Scan/Triage cooldown shortened.
Galactic Seasons
- French and German clients now see the correct Galactic Season 7 “Dangerous Game” name in unlock descriptions.
Basilisk Prototype Venture
- Fixed Ruhnuk daily mission “Unconventional Methods” completion when B3-S1 is a temporary companion.
- Alt characters can now get B3-S1 companion in Lane’s lab if not unlocked.
- Mapnotes added for elevator windows in “Attune the Disruptor to Probe Droids.”
Daily Area
- Black Hole: Asset Liquidation’s Communications Tower now respawns faster.
