Broadsword posted the Game Update 7.8b patch notes for STAR WARS: The Old Republic, listing a small bundle of user interface fixes, a repeatability change for the Dantooine Orbital Core weekly, and a Life Day Vendor addition.
The most immediately visible change affects the Mission Tracker. Players with long mission titles had seen names and timer text clipped or squished, and the tracker can now be scaled up to 2.0 from the previous 1.25, while the clipping issues have been addressed. The Dantooine wreckage encounter received a fix for a double Orbital Core spawn that could prevent loot, and the Orbital Core weekly mission can now be completed up to three times per week. Finally, a seasonal mount, the Vectron Tinsel Taxi, is now available from the Life Day Vendor.
Broadsword discussed broader 7.8 plans during its developer livestream, readers can view a recap of that stream in the 7.8 livestream recap for context on other changes that arrived around this update. Below is the official patch text posted on Steam, reproduced in full.
