Big news for STAR WARS: The Old Republic fans! The latest update, Game Update 7.7 “Dynamic Worlds,” adds Dynamic Encounters to seven more planets beyond Hoth and Tatooine. These encounters offer quick bursts of story and action, making exploring these worlds feel more alive and rewarding. You can tackle them solo or with friends, which is pretty cool!
Dynamic Encounters first appeared in update 7.6 with the Hidden Chain Invasions on Tatooine and Hoth, and now they’ve spread to the starter planets Tython, Korriban, Hutta, Ord Mantell, the capital worlds Coruscant and Dromund Kaas, plus the icy planet Ilum. It’s like the galaxy just got a lot busier.
These missions pop up randomly across the planets, adding little narrative gems and lore tidbits that spice up your exploration. Plus, finishing these encounters rewards you with themed decorations and collectibles, some only available through achievements, which means you gotta work for them!
New Rewards on Each Planet
- Tython: Tython Flower Bed and the Tython Training Bay (achievement reward)
- Korriban: The adorable K’lor’slug mini pet, earned by completing slug-related encounters
- Coruscant: Several decorations including Empty Fireworks Launcher, Shipping Cargo (both Neutral and Imperial versions), Shipping Crane, The Uggernaught, and the Coruscant Conspiracy Console (achievement reward)
- Dromund Kaas: Broadcast Tower, Monkey Lizard Cage, Tri-tip Mining Drill, and the Ancient Kaas Sarcophagus (achievement reward)
- Hutta: Poison Pit Sign
- Ord Mantell: Fire Barrel and Mantellian Wardrobe
- Ilum: Ilum Crystal Shrines (purple and cyan varieties), Republic Kolto Tank, and Imperial Massive Cannon
Each planet also has a meta-achievement called Encounter Mastery that rewards a themed mini-pet compatible mount. Imagine cruising around on a mount that screams “I conquered every encounter here!”
Dynamic Encounters now cover nine planets in total, with Hidden Chain Invasions showing up in even more locations. It’s great to see SWTOR adding these lively missions that give players more reasons to roam the galaxy and snag some cool gear and decorations.
